Help A Child, Help The Future

benefit carrot cake shampoo
Special Offer

When is a shower more than a shower? When you lather up with Philosophy's Carrot Cake 3-in-1 Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath to help raise money for ChildHelp, one of the nation's leading non-profit organizations that works to prevent and treat forms of child abuse and neglect. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of each 16 ounce bottle will benefit the extraordinary work of ChildHelp.

ChildHelp was founded by Sara O'Meara and Yvonne Fedderson in 1959, a time in which child abuse in America was still very much a "silent" epidemic. The efforts of the organization are focused primarily on raising awareness, lobbying to pass laws to encourage the reporting of suspected abuse and developing cutting-edge programs to treat and prevent abuse. The two women have greatly succeeded (in fact they have twice been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize) and their achievements include helping to designate April as National Child Abuse Prevention month and creating a national child abuse hotline 1-800-4-A-CHILD.

Much more needs to be done as child abuse is still all too prevalent in this country (4 children die each day at the hands of abuse).

Carrot Cake 3-in-1 Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath was created using an actual carrot cake recipe from Ellen Johnson of Elliot, Illinois. Her recipe was chosen as the grand prize winner among thousands of entries received. Philosophy even reprinted her award-winning recipe on the bottle so others can bake up one of their own.
