Dr. Barbara Sturm's Winter Essentials Kit
THE PROMISE:
Unless you're lucky enough to live in a warm climate year-round, you can't escape eskimo season. No matter how much you bundle up in your scarf to face winter's brutal weather or post *take me back* tropical vacation photos on Insta, your skin is going to feel the effects of lower temperatures and need some serious defense. Studies show that more than 81 million people deal with dry and itchy skin from November to March. It's all good though, none other than Dr. Barbara Sturm's Winter Essentials Kit will help you avoid the dry, flaky, dull results of cold weather. Deluxe travel-sizes of Sturm's facial scrub, cleanser, face cream, hyaluronic acid serum, calming serum, and hydrating face mask make up the impossible-to-overlook holographic pouch of products. All are from Sturm's Molecular Skincare collection, which is praised for using high-grade, natural, active ingredients for effective cell turnover.
Dr. Barbara Sturm's comprehensive expertise on skin and knowledge on fast-acting ingredients is truly unparalleled. It's why her line is beloved by the Kardashians, supermodels like Alessandra Ambrosio, Adut Akech, and Shanina Shaik, editors, influencers, and beauty enthusiasts alike, and deemed worth it when it comes to tackling anti-aging, inflammation, dullness, and more. Just scroll through the #SturmGlow hashtag on Instagram to see what all the hype is about.
WHY I'M OBSESSED:
I fell madly in love with Dr. Barbara Sturm's line for darker skin tones last fall. After using the line for only a few weeks, it drastically faded my dark spots and quickly became one of my most-loved brands of all time.
Her newly launched Winter Essentials Kit has quickly become a must-have of mine. Here's a lil' secret: I've been using it since way before winter. I fly a lot, and if you pour water on a dry surface in an airplane, it evaporates about 50 percent faster. Imagine what that does to your skin! To avoid the hellish after-effects, I whip out this bad boy and use the face cream, hyaluronic serum, and hydrating mask during every flight.
If you like to try before you buy, I recommend investing in this kit of minis to figure out your faves before splurging on full-size products. I could go on and on about what I love about each product, but I've limited myself to a one-sentence review for each. The facial scrub washes the grime of a busy day off of my face but has the hydrating benefits of silk extract so my skin doesn't feel uncomfortably tight post-exfoliation. The light foaming cleanser has active ingredients and soothing aloe that doesn't strip my skin of natural oils. The antioxidant-filled face cream gives me a lingering glow. My absolute favorite, the hyaluronic serum, is made of a concentrated balance of hyaluronic acid that penetrates beyond the moisture barrier for long-lasting hydration. The calming serum has a plant-based blend of vitamins and sweet almond oil to protect the skin from pollutants. And last but certainly not least, the hydrating face mask is my secret radiance weapon when my skin needs extra TLC. Pick your poison.
