Demi Lovato put her powerhouse vocals to the greatest possible test at her concert Friday night in Cleveland, Ohio: She covered Adele.
Yeah, the Adele. Lovato took the stage during her Future Now Tour (which she's co-headlining with longtime pal Nick Jonas) and belted out Adele's "When We Were Young." And she crushed it.
Before taking the stage to dominate her Adele cover, Lovato piqued fans' interest with a tweet that seems oh-so-subtly directed at her ex, Wilmer Valderrama.
You have to be capable of being honest with yourself before you can get honest with other peopleSeptember 2, 2016
Valderrama and Lovato split in June after six years together and ET Online reports that he has recently been linked to actress Minka Kelly, which explains why fans are overanalyzing Lovato's tweets even more than usual lately.
If she's bothered by Valderrama's rumored romance with Kelly, Lovato didn't let it show during her performance, which was nothing short of incredible. She prefaced the cover by telling fans that the song is one of her favorites, which is no surprise. Not only is "When We Were Young" an amazing song, but this isn't the first time Lovato has paid tribute to Adele in concert. She covered "Hello" KIIS FM's Fall Ball in 2015.
Would a duet be too much to hope for? We'll be hoping, just in case.
