Important news: Chrissy Teigen just gained one new follower on Twitter!
Why, might you ask, is it important to know that a celebrity with 13.5 million followers has yet another one?
Well, because that person is President Joe Biden.
In the feud heard 'round the Twitterverse, model, cookbook author, activist, and outspoken Democrat Chrissy Teigen publicly quarreled with former President Donald Trump on the social media platform, causing him to infamously block her.
Though His Twitter has since been deleted, we have receipts:
"....musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is - but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed. “Anchor”@LesterHoltNBC doesn’t even bring up the subject of President Trump or the Republicans when talking about...."— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 9, 2019
So before the Inauguration swear-in ceremony today, Teigen tweeted at Joe Biden:
hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plzJanuary 20, 2021
And apparently didn't think it would work:
just a dumb joke because I am a loser lolJanuary 20, 2021
But it did! The new president follows 11 people on Twitter, all of whom are aides or official accounts (like The White House)... and Teigen.
OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!! https://t.co/BmBfkPZgEjJanuary 21, 2021
@POTUS, follow me too, please?
