38 New Emoji Are Coming and They're Everything You Hoped For
Happy #WorldEmojiDay!

At this point, you don't even need letters to communicate with your friends. It can really all be done in emoji. But there are still some *very* important ones missing from the current collection. (Though at least now we have some diversity (opens in new tab)!) Luckily, the mad scientists at Unicode heard your pleas and are rolling out 38 (GASP) amazing new emoji for the 9.0 update. You'll have to wait until June 2016, but it looks like it's going to be worth the wait!
Yahoo reports that some of these new emoji were considered for the 8.0 update, but got passed on. But that avocado is back, so you'll soon be able to tell your friends how much you need guac right this second.
