Though some might argue that it's more of a pink hue than the rose gold label suggests (for visual comparison of just how pink it is, click here (opens in new tab)), the new colorway for the just-launched iPhone 6S has been a hit with all demographics. In other words, it's not just girly-girls and preteens who are obsessing over the blush-toned phone.
Re/Code (opens in new tab) surveyed shoppers at Los Angeles and San Francisco Apple flagship stores (read: VERY crowded locations) on the day the new device was released. It turns out guys are really into the rose gold hue, too.
"There's enough guys getting rose gold that it should be called bros' gold," Apple customer/Twitter developer Dan Bentley told Re/Code.
"It's a little bit girly, but I like it," said another male shopper as he waited in line to score the new rose gold edition.
And it's not just the 20-30-somethings that are thinking pink. "I'm very pessimistic, I heard it's sold out," said an older man at the San Francisco store. "I came here to give it a shot and I'm willing to walk away. Rose gold or bust."
The people have spoken. Pink is definitely the new black, err, space gray/silver/gold.
