To be honest, I've never really liked foundation. Every time I've bought one, I always run into one of three problems: It looks too heavy, it clogs my pores, it doesn't match my skin tone. So, it's pretty ironic that my favorite new beauty product is Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation!
Made with clay that is literally found at the river basin of the Amazon, the product is considered natural. They use plant extracts and vitamins to make their products — no parabens or synthetic fragrances are added, and they don't test on animals.
But honestly, I began regularly using it before I even knew all that feel-good info. More than anything, I just like how it makes my skin look. My complexion looks even when I wear it, and when I set it with a powder bronzer (like my fave from Laura Mercier), I get a nice glow. And out of the blue, people in my office (and even a woman in Berdorf's and my waitress at Café Cluny) have come up to me and mentioned how nice my skin is looking.
So, a foundation that looks natural, feels natural, and is natural? Well that's a combo that can't be beat! Try it out and let me know your thoughts!
