Roger Vivier Prismick Accessories Launch
Amanda Hearst co-hosted a soirée to celebrate the stateside debut of Roger Vivier's Prismick Collection.
Roger Vivier is known for its signature, oversize buckles. But for Spring 2012, the brand is launching its debut Prismick Collection, thus forgoing that iconic motif. This set of futuristic shoes and handbags features colorful brights cut and pasted together, recalling Vivier's own collages of the '80s and '90s. Tuesday, Fernanda Niven, Bettina Prentice, and I hosted the Prismick Collection's stateside debut, an event that also showcased some fun portraits of "Vivier's ladies," including myself!
As part of the launch, we were asked to select a location at which shoot a portrait wearing one of the Prismick accessories. I chose the Brooklyn Bridge because I thought the geometry of bridge reflected the zig-zag shapes on the bags. It was fun having my photo taken, and I love the result, but during the shoot, I was freezing. However, no complaints here because Roger Vivier made a very generous donation to my animal rescue charity, Friends of Finn!
I was so happy that the Marie Claire team came to show its support! Here is Maureen Choi, Jeremy Spears, Kyle Anderson, and Bryn Poulos looking oh-so-cool :)
These are my two favorite pieces from the collection. To shop away, click here!
