A Monse trench coat has been on my wishlist since day one, and the options presented in the fall 2020 lineup were better than ever. Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia opened the show with a variation of one of their iconic trenches—a tartan blazer built into an off-the-shoulder style trench—and continued to sprinkle a few more coats with asymmetrical necklines and pattern-mixing details through out the collection. Once you tore your attention away from the cool coats, you'll see that models walked down the runway in chunky boots and rocked looks such as safety-pinned suits and fishnet tights under tartan skirts. The designers told Vogue that the inspiration behind their collection was Wes Anderson's 2009 film Fantastic Mr. Fox. "We realized he kind of looks like a Monse fox," Kim said. See if you agree after checking out the entire fall 2020 collection, ahead.
