This New Rosé Hard Cider Is Here to Give You a Break from Your Go-To Wine
It’s a millennial pink dream come true.
Angry Orchard just launched a brand new rosé hard cider that will give a whole new meaning to rosé all day.
The rosé cider gets its millennial pink hue from a combination of a rare red flesh apple from France, as well as a touch of hibiscus that also gives the cider a floral aroma.
"I love Rosé wine, but I'm excited for drinkers to move on over to cider and try something new this spring with our Angry Orchard Rosé," Ryan Burk, Head Cider Maker of Angry Orchard said in a statement. "The rare red flesh apples used in our Rosé not only impart complex flavors but contribute to the cider's beautiful rosy hue. It's crisp, refreshing, and unlike any other style we have crafted."
But how does it taste? Angry Orchard describes the cider as having an “apple-forward taste” and “similar to a semi-dry wine.”
Bustle’s Emma Lord gave it a taste already and described it as if, “wine, apple juice, and a flower had a baby, and then it grew up to become a goddess, and let you drink her tears.” She continued, “it does taste like the perfect blend of rosé and cider—not too dry, not too sweet.”
The new cider is 5.5% ABV and is available across the country in both six and 12-packs now.
