Jennifer Connelly: The Actress as Art
With more than 20 years of performances under her belt, including her Oscar-winning turn in A Beautiful Mind, this total pro drew from her vast moviemaking experience to strike a pose for each of the following "characters." The concept? An iconic collection of types, from femme-fatale sexpot to Elton John-esque pop-art queen. Creative Director Paul Martinez knew Connelly was just the subject to pull it off. "She has that range to appear completely different in every single shot," he says. While husband Paul Bettany a terrific actor in his own right-and sons Kai and Stellan looked on, Connelly dutifully dove into each setup without a second thought.
