We chose Blake Lively for our December because we felt like it was the perfect time to showcase her. She's on the hottest show on television and she's now got a big feature coming out called the Private Lives of Pippa Lee.

We're shooting a cover of Blake Lively for Marie Claire. I think the cover will probably be a little bit more sophisticated, and the inside pictures are gonna be really natural hair and makeup.

We chose Blake Lively for our December because we felt like it was the perfect time to showcase her. She's on the hottest show on television and she's now got a big feature coming out called the Private Lives of Pippa Lee.

Blake Lively is perfect for Marie Claire because she's really in that wonderful transitional phase where she's moving out of television and into the movies and what you're witnessing is the birth of I think a real movie star.

She really is more than a pretty face. This is a girl whose 21, 23 years old and she is not caught up in tabloid scandals. She's not going out and dancing on tables. She represents what we like our girl to be.

She is being superb in Gossip Girl. The standout, breakout star from that wonderful TV show and we caught her on the cover really to go inside with her first really big movie directed by Rebecca Miller, and this is really a different stage for her. She's now coming out in a big way and it's exciting. It's exciting to watch.

So our idea with our cover was to show her in sort of fun, flirty fashion, sexy yet sort of girl next door because that's kind of who she is. And what was exciting for us was I was told that was her favorite cover that she's done a few covers now, but is this her favorite? The makeup for the cover was going to be kind of neutral and it's really all about the woman. It's all about Blake. So, she's a very easy, kind of beauty. So I'm gonna keep it simple, nothing fussy.

We've brought a whole bunch of different types of clothing and Blake is gonna-- has gone through the rack and she's chosen things that she feels comfortable and feels like reflect her personal style.

We wanted to keep it really young and fresh and kind of cool. So, we did like 3 looks for cover and it was a mix of color like we did a few different pieces that were kind of punchy and like hot. We just caught her at the moment when she was just speculating on things. So it's a pulled full very engaging look. She looks fabulous.

Blake is somebody who wears clothes very, very well. She can wear almost anything and make it look great.

She just looks like she's ready to take on the world.

Hi. I'm Zoe Glassner, contributing editor of Marie Claire Magazine, and I'm here at the Sunset Tower in Los Angeles at the Tacori 18k925 Collection Launch Party.

An accessories editor has one of the best jobs in the fashion industry, I think, because they get to see every new bag, every new shoe, every new boot, every new piece of jewelry. I mean, what could be more fun?

Being an accessories editor of Marie Claire is crazy. It's like a job that never stops. You're looking from everything from the shoes and bags to high trends in earrings, trends in necklaces, trends in jewelry.

We've had Taylor Tomasi Hill because she is really, I think, the best person in the accessories market. She is extremely talented at looking throughout the entire market and isolating the item she thinks will be perfect for our readers. She finds great value items. And, she's very thoughtful about the readers life. And she understands how accessories can enhance it and make you feel special.

You're looking for you know the trends in all the runway shows that can translate down to the reader. And, it isn't just about shoes and bags.

They get to sort of riffle through it. They're a bit like sort of fashion archaeologist or fashion anthropologist. And, that they are looking for signs from the new accessories coming out that will tell us about where we're going as a culture; where we're seen as a culture; and the fun that we're gonna have wearing these things. The average day of an accessories editor starts out with market appointments in the morning. During Fashion Week, it's going to shows and then it can end up in a beautiful party like this where they launch and debut new selections.

They could be talking to designers, asking them what they're thinking about coming up, what fabrics are good, what colors are good, what are they hearing about from customers

We are so excited about this new collection. We have made this big old jewelry with gem stones that's called 18K925. All of the pieces are accented with the turquoise crescent. So, we have that heirloom look with modern touches added to it which is just-- It's a grand slam. They're talking to readers. How much do they want to spend, what's good value, what did they think is over priced. So, there was no typical day but they are really on top of how you kinda look your best.

It's not just about loving shoes, it's not just about loving bags, it's about how can this one small item transform my entire look and give my entire personality?

What you look for when you're hiring an accessories editor is someone who has a great eye and understands who the reader is, someone who can interpret the trends and figure out how real women can use them in their lives.

We all know a little bit of underarm stubbles can feel like a lot of underarm stubble. But what if we could put an end to that prickly feeling between shaves? New Dove Visibly Smooth anti-perspirant containing follicle complex with natural extracts, makes hair look and feel less noticeable over 2 weeks so you feel dry all day and beautifully stubble-free for longer. New Dove Visibly Smooth. We are gonna take these pieces and auction them off for charity. Art Lyceum which is the charity that's very, very dear to me. Starting tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. For 2 weeks it's on close summer back. 3 years ago is when I first learned about it. And, it's one of the good, you actually get to get hands on. I've been able to go to the hospital, some work for the kids. And, the other ones, they get to give to us. I mean they're so inspiring and they are such fighters and you know it's really an incredible thing to not just we ask to put your name on something. But to actually be able to meet these children and talk to them about their lives
