How to Create a Bronze, Sun-Kissed Look Video
Celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow gives hands-on tips to create a glowing, bronzed makeup look perfect for summer.
Hi, I'm Ying Chu, beauty director at Marie Claire. I'm here at the [unknown] Times Square with celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow. Tina is gonna show us a really great bronze look today. Tina, can you tell us a little bit about the look?
Just a really glowy sun kissed bronzy melt-proof makeup.
Great! I can't wait to see it.
So I'm gonna start with a tinted oil free moisturizer with SPF in it. Blend that into your skin as if you're putting moisturizer on and this will give your skin tone a little warmth. Be careful that it blends well and that your jaw and your neck kind of blend together. You're gonna just do a little bit of Tarina Tarantino eye shadow and this is a nice golden warm shade. It's really pretty to do sort of monochromatic shade, all warm and kind of golden and bronzy. Line the lower lash line with this because it is smudge proof and it's so pretty to put these like golden colors right on the inner corner of your eye just to catch the sunlight and also the sensor of the lid is a great place to catch the light. I'm using a little bit of this bronze tarte clay pot eyeliner, and it's also very smudge-proof. You're just gonna line the lash line very close to the lashes just to give extra definition, and then I was gonna add a coat of mascara, doing overall dusting of a Sephora bronzer that I think is really nice and it's more on the matte side so you're not too glittery. I think it's nice to keep the shimmer more focused on the eye area and remember the blend well and that it should really you know blend in to the hairline because you don't wanna see stripes. So I'm gonna use a stain by tarte, in for that caramely color. After you've done a little caramel lip stain, top it with a little liquid sunshine, golden gloss. Just bring that with you to touch up throughout the day, and then I feel like you've been pretty much sun-kissed.
