It has been nearly four years since Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom divorced, but they're both still actively involved in each other's lives and in raising their six-year-old son, Flynn—and their respective partners play a role in things as well.
Kerr, who announced her engagement to Snapchat founder and CEO Evan Spiegel last summer, opened up about her "modern family" while at Harper's BAZAAR's 150th anniversary party in Los Angeles on Friday night.
"Orlando and I are literally like family, he's like a brother to me," the model told People of her ex-husband. "It's very weird, but we really care for each other and we have a great relationship, so I feel very lucky."
As for Bloom's new girlfriend, Katy Perry, she's been welcomed into the fold as well. "They're great," Kerr said of her son's relationship with Perry. "The get along really well."
The model had told Net-a-Porter's The EDIT in an interview last January that she and Bloom had agreed upon certain rules for who they'd introduce to their son and when. "[Orlando and I decided] that we had to know the person for six months and feel good about them," Kerr said.
Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have been an item for just over a year now (six month requirement, check!) since rumors first emerged after their flirty encounter at the Golden Globes in 2016. Not long after that, they were spotted vacationing shirtless together, and in the months following they attended Coachella together, wore matching Tamagotchis at the Met Gala together, made their relationship Instagram official together, karaoked to Alanis Morissette together, and surprise birthday partied together (feel good about them requirement, obviously check!). So yeah, it's safe to say Katy Perry has passed the test for meeting and befriending Flynn. Plus, what six-year-old kid wouldn't love someone who plays a game where you get pied in the face?
