Beyoncé to Headline Chime for Change's "The Sound of Change" Concert
Chime for Change will hold a televised concert event at Londons Twickenham Stadium on June 1, 2013, with Co-founder and Artistic Director, Beyoncé as the headliner.
Hearst Magazines is proud to announce its exclusive magazine media partnership with Chime for Change, a global campaign for girls' and women's empowerment founded by Gucci. Led by some pretty powerful ladies — Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini, Salma Hayek Pinault and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter — the campaign supports projects pursuing change for girls and women, specifically in the areas of education, health and justice.
In an exciting effort to raise funds, Chime for Change will hold a televised concert event at London's Twickenham Stadium on June 1, 2013, with Co-founder and Artistic Director, Beyoncé as the headliner. Other acts include Florence + the Machine, Ellie Goulding, HAIM, John Legend, and Timbaland, and in addition to the live musical performances, the concert will also serve as a platform to broadcast a number of inspirational and provocative short films spotlighting women's issues globally.
"Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible," Beyoncé said in a press release. "I am excited for us to come together on June 1st to bring the issues of Education, Health and Justice for girls and women to the world stage."
Tickets for the Chime for Change concert go on sale at www.chimeforchange.org at 9 a.m. GMT on Wednesday, March 27.
