Behold the true, gimmick-less glory that is Adele's isolated mic feed from her Saturday Night Live performance (opens in new tab) this weekend, which thoroughly trounces everyone suffering from so-flat-they-were-singing-in-semitones-itis at last night's American Music Awards. (You know who you are.)

Perhaps captured by some unknown sound tech who thought it unfair to keep such a gift to himself, this a cappella, effect-free version of "Hello" really shows her rare talent. And to think that this is probably Adele at her worst…
