The Perfect Confidence-Boosting Outfit

The Perfect Confidence-Boosting Outfit

If you have a big presentation or high-pressure meeting coming up and need a boost of confidence, why not look to your wardrobe for some help?

I often leave it to my clothes to jumpstart my confidence. Even when I'm stressed, the perfect outfit can kick away most of my nerves and lead the way to a brighter day at work.

Whether I'm giving a presentation, attending a big meeting or just need a little boost, I always reach for a certain look: bright colors, some sparkles and a fun necklace (or two), and I'm ready to tackle any PowerPoint.

I tend to keep presentation outfits classic with a twist — pencil skirts are part of my work uniform, but I make them edgier by choosing neon colors. Clothes really do affect on my mood, and who can be nervous when wearing a neon pink skirt?

The pieces I chose to pair with my skirt also set the stage for my day. I feel like I've mentioned blazers in almost every post, but with good reason: they exude knowledge and confidence, and help complete many outfits. The finishing touch is favorite silver-and-pearls multi-strand necklace.

Sometimes when you're nervous, faking self-assuredness is half the battle won. An outfit that makes you feel good goes a long way, too.

Blazer, Target; T-shirt, Target; skirt, J. Crew; necklace, Simply Vera Vera Wang for Kohl's; tights, Target; heels, Target
