Boxing to Rock

While rock isn't the only music to which you can box, it's probably the genre of choice for trying to synchronize your pace. Generally speaking, boxing workouts require tempos around 140-150 BPM. And this is simply too fast for most rapping. It's also faster than most folks can dance. So, you won't find a lot of pop or electronic music there either. Nevertheless, I was able to dig up some variations on the straight-ahead rock from Billy Joel, The Cure, and Sleater Kinney — along with a sporting classic...even if it's not this particular sport.

1. Spoon - You Got Yr Cherry Bomb - 143 BPM Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (Bonus Track

3. Everclear - So Much for the Afterglow - 150 BPM Everclear - So Much for the Afterglow - So Much for the Afterglow

4. Blondie - Call Me - 141 BPM Blondie - Greatest Hits - Call Me

5. The All-American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret - 144 BPM The All-American Rejects - Move Along - Dirty Little Secret

6. Nine Inch Nails - The Perfect Drug - 149 BPM Nine Inch Nails - Lost Highway - The Perfect Drug

7. Billy Joel - It's Still Rock and Roll to Me - 142 BPM Billy Joel - The Essential Billy Joel - It's Still Rock and Roll to Me

8. Sleater-Kinney - You're No Rock 'n' Roll Fun - 142 BPM Sleater-Kinney - All Hands On the Bad One
