Sarah Hurtes is a French-born and South African raised journalist writing long-form and investigative articles on gender, the environment, and health. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Vice, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and other publications. She won an award for her investigation on the health impact of PFAS chemicals on breastfed babies at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she received an M.A. in Science journalism. Before her reporting career, she worked for organizations such as the United Nations and the European Climate Foundation, having studied Gender at the London School of Economics.
