Byredo's Rose Hand Cream
THE PROMISE:
I know, I know, $71 is a whole lot for a hand cream. But stop putting your poor hands last in your beauty routine—you work them the hardest. Just like the skin on your face, your high-functioning hands deserve decadence and TLC, especially after typing away on your computer all day and washing so many dishes. No other hand cream will coat your palms, fingers, and nails in a luxuriously-hydrating bath of Turkish rose, raspberry blossom, patchouli, and white musk. Essentially, it's the equivalent of a spa date for your hands. The rose scent is soothing, and will complement any fragrance you're already wearing.
I am 100-percent acknowledging that a $71 hand cream sounds absolutely absurd, but don't knock it until you try it. As someone with inherently dry skin, I thoroughly believe that body care is equally as important as skincare. Ensuring your whole body, from your feet (I religiously use foot cream, too!!) to your fingertips, is moisturized efficiently requires top-notch products. This protects my hands from cracking and keeps environmental elements that dry them out at bay.
This isn't one of those flimsy hand creams you'll go through fast or forget about and leave at the bottom of your purse. The formula is long-lasting and you get a generous amount in the tube. I use a tiny drop of it, and the sheen from its moisturizing blend stays for hours.
Let's talk a little more about the scent, which is a major selling point for me. I'm a floral fragrance lover and fell hard for the lingering scent of this cream. It's a "hand cream that unites function with elegant fragrance," as the brand describes. Spritzing yourself with perfume in public may be a bit odd, but you can basically do the same thing by applying this fragrant and nourishing cream. When you smell good, you feel good. Plus, being the person with a really nice hand cream to offer up to anyone around you gives you major bragging rights. Sharing is caring, and putting someone onto a luxurious hand cream gives me copious amounts of joy.
