Dr. Brandt Hyaluronic Facial Cream
THE PROMISE:
With the help of hyaluronic acid, the power of five peptides, and volumizing microspheres, this lightweight cream plumps, restores, and sculpts your skin to perfection. Hyaluronic acid is the singlemost important ingredient for retaining water in the skin, which equates to maximum moisture (there's no such thing as too much hydration, FYI). Basically this do-it-all moisturizer will keep your skin forever young.
WHY IT'S WORTH IT:
Preventative skincare in your 20s is the secret to minimizing wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin in years to come. I'm not a fan of waiting "four to six weeks to see results," I guess that's the millennial in me. As soon as I work this pillow-soft moisturizer—which is a heavenly hybrid between a gel and light-as-air cream—into my skin, it does a magic trick. The trick consists of plumping-up my perpetually tired skin in the mornings with a double-shot of hydration. The sunken bags under my eyes are instantly smoothed and every dry spot disappears. I compare its effect to an at-home alternative for filler: It adds volume where needed and gives your skin the most gorgeous glow.
Let's talk texture, because no one wants a cakey moisturizer in the summer. The refreshing consistency of this lightweight product is ideal for the heat. I love layering it on right before I apply makeup because it makes my products go on dewy, not sweaty, just like I like them. The shea butter swimming around in the formula is what keeps the hydration lingering for 72 hours, as the brand claims. I simply can't get over how glowy and radiant this magic cream makes my skin look! I plan on gifting it to my mom, who is a guru when it comes to anti-aging products, to see what it does to her skin. Stay tuned.
