Nicki Minaj is coming for Kim Kardashian's throne with her attempt to break the Internet, gracing PAPER magazine's winter 2017 cover.
After Kim went butt-naked in the magazine's 2014 edition, Nicki has followed suit with a super-sexy photoshoot which sees her pose with herself three times over.
That's one way to start your Wednesday morning off with a bang.
The cover features one Nicki with ankle-length blonde hair leaning into the crotch of the second Nicki with her tongue out, who straddles a leopard print chair in high-waist pink pants, nipple tassels, and a diamanté choker. The third Nicki leans over Nicki 2.0 in a baby pink minidress, and yeah, it's pretty saucy.
Sharing the PAPER shoot on her Instagram, Nicki wrote, "Wanna Minaj? @papermagazine 👅 photos by @ellenvonunwerth #BreakTheInternet edition [sic]"
As well as Nicki sharing a number of videos on Instagram and Twitter from the shoot, PAPER mag revealed the inspiration for the cover in an extract on their website.
"We have never called an issue Break the Internet since we did it back in 2014 with publication explained. "It takes a certain type of talent, with an awesome fan base and the ability to put trust in PAPER to work our magic. Break the Internet is all about the big idea, the word, the image."" the
"We have seen different versions of Nicki, from high fashion to seductive to in-your-face and eye-catching all at the same time. But we had never seen all of these together—and now we have the chance, thanks to our cover shoot with the rap star and Ellen von Unwerth. Welcome to Break the Internet."
And what a warm welcome indeed. As you can imagine, it's gone down very well with Nicki fans:
