Donald's Trump's hair is as much a spectacle as the man himself. It's not a wig — he proved that by letting a woman at a campaign rally tug on it. But that hardly answered all the questions you might have about it: Is it an elaborate comb-over? How much product does it require? Has it ever met Vladimir Putin?
On Wednesday, however, Trump turned the focus to another candidate's hair. During an interview with conservative radio host Marc Levin, Trump pointed out that Hillary Clinton had recently gotten a new hairstyle, according to CNN. Levin joked that it was a wig.
"I tell you what, it really was shocking to see it because you're right, it must be, it was massive," Trump said. "Her hair became massive."
"I don't care," he added after Levin suggested his comments might spark controversy. "I'm a person that tells the truth. You know it was interesting to see but I've never seen Hillary with that hairdo so I think that's an OK thing to say, but it was very different."
Trump, whose hair was the subject of a recent Saturday Night Live sketch, is known to criticize the appearance of women. He commented on fellow Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina's face, called Arianna Huffington "unattractive both inside and out," described Bette Midler as "extremely unattractive," and said New York Times columnist Gail Collins had "the face of a dog."
Fiorina addressed the slight during a Republican debate in September, saying, "I think women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said." The crowd at the debate erupted in cheers.
Clinton hasn't responded to Trump's latest adolescent jab, but she did comment on his hair over the summer, CNN reports. "You know, a lot of people have said a lot of things about my hair over the years," she said at a Democratic fundraiser. "So I do kind of know what Donald is going through. And if anyone wonders if mine is real, here's the answer: The hair is real, the color isn't. And come to think of it, I wonder if that is true for Donald too."
Levin, the host of the radio show where Trump made his hair comment, fired off a tweet Thursday that presumably refers to this remark (or, perhaps Clinton's Tonight Show appearance where Trump's hair came up).
