Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall Are Engaged

He announced their betrothal in a newspaper he owns.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch and model Jerry Hall are set to tie the knot. The pair announced their engagement in the Births, Marriages, and Deaths page of The Times (opens in new tab), a British newspaper Murdoch owns. Here's how the announcement looked, according to The Hollywood Reporter (opens in new tab):

This will be the fourth marriage for Murdoch, having divorced his third wife, Wendi Deng, in 2013. Hall had a longtime relationship with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and they have several children together, but their marriage ceremony in Indonesia was declared legally invalid (opens in new tab) nine years later.

Murdoch, 89, and Hall, 59, were introduced by one of his sisters and his niece, Penny Fowler, in Australia, and have been dating for four months. They went public at the Rugby World Cup in October, and hit the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday. "They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future together," a 21st Century Fox spokesperson said in a statement.
