Adele celebrated the Spice Girls reunion news by sharing a cheeky childhood photo of herself in front of her bedroom wall plastered in posters of the girl group. So, of course, some fans have suggested the 30-year-old singer stand in as the fifth member of the Spice Girls after Victoria Beckham confirmed that she won't be joining the group on tour.
Adele posted the hilarious throwback picture taken circa 1996, and added the caption: "HA! This is how I feel right now! I AM READY."
A fan commented: "I think you've found your fifth member! It would be great surprise!"
Another suggested: "Maybe you have the power to convince @victoriabeckham that the world needs the power of 5!"
Emma Bunton reposted the image on Instagram, and captioned it with five red love heart emojis.
Adele has often spoken about her love for the girl group, and gave a powerful rendition of their No.1 hit Wannabe during Carpool Karaoke with James Corden in 2016.
On Monday, Spice Girls announced their six-date UK tour, which kicks off in Manchester next June. Victoria shared her support for her former band members on Instagram, posting the message: "Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!
"I won't be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!"
Hai Si Ja, hold tight!
