Pippa Middleton Takes Son Arthur for a Stroll in London on His First Birthday

Pippa was effortlessly chic in a cream jacket and loose-fitting jeans.

  • Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, took her son, Arthur Michael William Matthews, on a walk around London yesterday.
  • The low-key outing coincided with Arthur's first birthday, and Pippa celebrated the occasion in a pair of cropped, faded black jeans and a long gray coat as she pushed her son around the city in a stroller.

Pippa Middleton is celebrating her son's first birthday today in the most low-key way: with a casual mother-son stroll around London. The Duchess of Cambridge's sister stepped out with Arthur Michael William Matthews for some quiet, quality time together.

Pippa proved that even when dressed down, she's still a style maven. The mother-of-one wore a pair of cropped, faded black jeans and a long gray coat, which she paired with a comfortable pair of white sneakers and dark sunglasses.

The royal in-law pushed Arthur around the city in a stroller and was spotted playing and chatting with her baby throughout the outing.

In a recent Waitrose Weekend fitness column, Pippa wrote about the important role fitness plays in her life and her hopes that it will be a big part of Arthur's life too. To encourage healthy habits for her son, Pippa takes him to a baby gym for regular workouts, the Daily Mail reported.

"Now that Arthur is 11 months old and more mobile, I have been trying to come up with different activities to do with him," Pippa wrote in Waitrose Weekend. "I needed to find something more than just park walks in the pram. Our local baby gym has been a saving grace. It's a big space full of fun, soft objects, playmats, stairs, balls, swings, mini trampolines and more to stimulate and physically engage babies and toddlers."
