It isn't the first time she's broached the topic (probably because she's asked about it all the time), but Taylor Swift would like to reiterate that she probably won't be in a relationship any time soon—or at least, not in the next five years.
"I'll probably still be single," she said when The Telegraph asked her what she thinks her life will look like at 30. "Let's be honest. No one's going to sign up for this and everything that goes with it. 'Hi, nice to meet you, want a date? Do you love camera flashes? I hope you do!'"
It's all a big question mark for her, really—she went on to explain that it's not just the paparazzi intimidation factor that's an issue, but the overall craziness of being famous and just being a tad busy. "I don't know what's going to happen if I'm ever content in a relationship—no idea how that's going to work. I don't even know if that's possible with the life I have."
What's worse: Apparently the scrutiny tends to take a toll on her friendships, because if she's seen together with any human of the male persuasion who isn't related to her, then they OBVIOUSLY must be dating. This was evidently an issue when she hung out with Hozier last month: "I just got so freaked out that people were going to say I was dating him," she admitted. "I started thinking, 'I can't let this ruin my friendship with dudes.' I didn't let it ruin my friendship with Ed Sheeran. They always said we were dating and we never were. But sometimes, I get really scared."
We feel like this is one of those "grass is always greener" moments. Let it all soak in.
