And some wonderful person filmed the entire thing.

In case there's any doubt in your mind as to how cool Amy Poehler is after her decision to wear a hoodie at the Emmy's, know this: She just officiated an impromptu wedding with Carrie Brownstein.

The Portlandia actress was doing a reading of her new memoir, Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl, at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, when a lesbian couple asked if she'd be willing to marry them. Like, right then and there.

So, where does Amy Poehler come in? She was facilitating the reading's Q&A, and convinced Brownstein to get her officiant on. "Amy was visibly excited and shocked, and turned to Carrie [and said] 'You gotta do it!'" a witness said (opens in new tab). "The crowd cheered and applauded wildly."

The ceremony lasted just 10 minutes, Poehler was in charge of flowers and music (she *attempted* to play "Greensleeves"), and Brownstein wrote a custom speech. In other words, perfection. Watch the ceremony below.
