George W. Bush Had a Period Where He "Only Communicated Through His Art"

Art = those nude self portraits, obviously.

Remember George W. Bush's paintings? No? Allow us to blow your mind:

The former President of the United States went viral when he debuted his whimsical series of paintings back in the days of yore, and now Laura Bush is giving we, the people, the inside scoop on his hobby. Basically, she really wants us to know that her husband's paintings got better. Though really, how can you get better than this?

"You've only seen the very early ones," Laura told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. "He got the app on his iPhone, Penultimate. And he drew these very funny stick figure characters."

Meanwhile, Jenna Bush Hager casually uttered the phrase "naked portraits" while talking about her dad's hobby, and said, "There was actually a period where he only communicated through his art."
