Hailey Bieber is testing the limits of her new Chanel Maxi Flap Bag by styling it with spring's leading shoe trends, including high-vamp heels, flip-flops, and even chunky New Balance sneakers. On April 2, Bieber's super-sized tote looked more ladylike than ever alongside the Barbie-ified doll heels trend.

Bieber chose a Beverly Hills theater for her latest Maxi Flap 'fit, featuring a khaki blazer and straight-leg trousers. The upscale work bag wasn't her only patent leather pick: peep-toe mules displayed the same '90s-coded sheen. Straight, open-toe bands stretched across the uppers, just like pink and purple pumps in Dior and Marc Jacobs' spring fashion shows.

Bieber's pair—which slashed stilettos to kitten heel heights—definitely mirrored the girly charm of doll shoes. But this moody pair is more likely to be in a Bratz doll's closet, rather than Barbie's. Can't you see "Kool Kat" Jade wearing the same mules, plus her matching leather hot pants?

Conspiracy theory: Bieber's actually Barbie, because she started wearing doll-adjacent mules back in 2020. (Remember that red dress meme in 2023? Similar peep-toe stilettos appeared just a few feet south.) Last summer, months before Jonathan Anderson debuted Dior's take, they were the It-shoe that never steered her wrong. She wore them around New York City, at Rhode launch parties, and even the 2025 Met Gala.

First, Bieber arrived at the ball in patent black platforms by Saint Laurent. She even brought the soon-to-be trend as her plus-one to a Met Gala after-party. Bieber's second doll shoes were metallic silver to match her Dilara Findikoglu corset dress, but their defining open-toe straps were still front and center.
