As if we needed another reason to be excited for summer, we just learned that Beyoncé will star in a series of H&M television and print spots to promote the retailer's newest collection, which Queen Bey herself helped to design. If the promise of Beyoncé-approved bikinis, sundresses, and more isn't enough for you, she's also premiering a commercial directed by Jonas Åkerlund — the man behind Bey and Lady Gaga's epic video for "Telephone" — which will debut a brand new song from the superstar, called “Standing On The Sun.”
“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial," Beyoncé said in a press release about her collaboration.
The campaign coincides with the kickoff of Beyoncé's sold-out "Mrs. Carter Show" world tour, and pieces from the collection will be available in-store and online starting in May. We guess she really does run the world — or at the very least, the summer of 2013.
