J.Crew has expanded its latest cult-of-cool designer collaborations known as "Good Company" with the loungwear-inspired brand, Piamita. After noticing a gap in the marketplace for comftorable and chic loungewear clothing, Cecilia de Sola and Karla Martinez launched the nightie-gone-chic Piamita brand in 2005.
Taking on a pajama-meets-tailored vibe that can be worn in and out of the office, pieces range from silk, loose-fitting trousers to an Edwardian-inspired sleeper top with buttons running down the back. One of the must-haves of the collaboration is the J. Crew exclusive "Alexa Pant in Llamas" with only 100 pairs made. Inspired by a trip to the Andes mountians, the pants are printed with origami llamas, "For Fall 2013 we wanted to bring an element of South America into the mix. We love to make prints that feature animals because they can be really sophisticated and whimsical at the same time," say the designers, "Llamas are everywhere in the Andes and it was an instant source of inspiration. They are so funny, we fell in love"
For a collection that executes the idea of "tailored comfort", you'll want to wear this collection 24/7 and thankfully, now you can. Check out the collection at jcrew.com.
