Reed Krakoff and/or Coach + Gwyneth Paltrow
From her big-screen roles in Country Strong and the Iron Man flicks to her scene-stealing turns on Glee to her brand-new cookbook to her weekly GOOP newsletters, this blonde bombshell is a true Renaissance woman. And when we learned that Paltrow was recently spotted leaving Coach's NYC headquarters alongside the company's Creative Director Reed Krakoff (who also designs a namesake label that has Marie Claire smitten), rumors swirled that the actress was in talks to star in an upcoming Coach or Krakoff campaign. We think her spot-on style sense and patrician good looks would be a perfect match for either brand.
Mélanie Laurent + Dior
The house that Christian built has fallen on rough times lately, to be sure. Having officially ousted John Galliano after his infamous anti-Semitic tirade, however, it appears that Dior is intent on revitalizing its image and focusing on its rich heritage. We'll get a sneak peek at two designs from the maison's yet-to-be-unveiled Fall 2011 Couture collection at next month's Cannes Film Festival. Actress Mélanie Laurent will don the dresses for the event's opening and closing celebrations, and we're certain the Inglorious Basterds beauty will look absolutely stunning in the house's first non-Galliano-designed pieces.
Angelina Jolie + Louis Vuitton
Though their signature monogrammed canvas carryalls are familiar across the world, we've always appreciated Vuitton's interesting marketing strategies, from teaming with super cool artists Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami to collaborating with darling director Sofia Coppola on a capsule collection. Now, LV's reportedly enlisted none other than Angie to appear in an upcoming global print campaign, following in the fashionable footsteps of Uma Thurman, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, and many more. Sources say Mrs. Brad Pitt will pocket a cool $10 million for the gig--not too shabby, Jolie. Meanwhile, anyone feel like lending us a few grand for one of those Sofia-designed duffle bags?
