Inside the Costume Shop

Snowflakes! Tulle! Tiaras! It's officially Nutcracker season and New York City Ballet's costumes are as classic as the ballet itself. Layered tutus in blues, pinks, and purples are paired with satin bodices of blush pink and rose. Sequins, rhinestones, and bows adorn each piece, so a waltz or pax de deux shines from center stage to the back of the house.
