We put Maggie Gyllenhaal on the cover 2 years ago. And really been she was the known as the top of her game, but very much isn't Indie actress. Now of course she's in Batman

The Dark Knight. Gotham needs you. A little fight in here. I like that. And you're gonna love me. I think it's really her coming of age as a big blockbuster movie actress. When I was on the cover the first time, they were really supporting cherry baby which is you know this tiny movie I had and you had to pay attention to notice it, to see what was going about it. And I thought like they really did. And you know I guess I feel like they that day without me. She's never been wanted to do the big blockbuster movie. She's always sort of the Indie girl. But this is gonna be big break for her. You always told me that we'll be together. Did you mean it. Bruce, don't make me your only hope for normal life. On other bigger movies that I've done, things have gone much slower, there's been a lot of downtime but actually for me, I thought like because Chris Nolan and Wally Pfister that DP, had worked together so many times. Things went so quickly and felt much more like a smaller movie. We shot her on the cover on the fantastic blue strong pizza something dress, in the side she's wearing (trees?) by Norton. And she's a really stylish woman. We did a whole different sort of hotel suite feel with her. And the clothes are just really romantic and beautiful and it's sort of a you know welcome to Maggie's life now. Well I knew Mark Abrams actually a little bit. I think I met him at Sundance and he had shot Peter, my boyfriend and he shot me and we just had a like a nice easy shoot. So I knew him, and I really liked him. And so that kind of cut come some of anxiety that can come around and having your picture taken. I'm not interested anymore in the way that I was when I was younger and making movies that nobody sees. You know I want people to see the movies that I make. I hope that this will help that. She embodies everything Marie Claire. She is smart, she's sexy, she's on top of the world with her career. She's just an amazing, amazing woman. My name is Debbie Cole and I'm accessories designer. I design hand bags and shoes. My name is Catherine Holstein and I'm a designer. Today we are shooting our August Fashion feature which is denim. August being on denim issue. We have taken four designers specifically don't design denim and we said take an item of denim and show us how to wear it with your kind of designs. We were just fascinated to see how designers who didn't typically design denim. Actually feature in the world job because women everyday designer or not needs denim in their wardrobe and uses it. All about the clothes, you know. It's all about the clothes and it's all about the stands, it's very casual and they have to just be very comfortable and just be with them-self. It's really both piece of clothing that has been in ever since it was created I would say and I'm sure it's going to stay around forever and ever. I think their way, great ways of combining denim, you can wear it either in a casual way or you can wear it in a very dressed top way. Denim is really very versatile. Are there so many different labels out there that you can find something for everybody. So they're easy, they mold to your body. You can wear them everyday. And what was amazing was how you can really dress up denim. So it looks very smart and very sheikh. It's not just something for the evening for the weekend anymore. It follows the trends now you know there's trends and difference silhouettes and shapes and there's every style of trouser now in denim. And there's so many skirts in denim, and top from denim, and jacket from denim. I love over sized denims. I like them a little bit more rugged. I'm not the skinny jean type at all. Denim needs to be comfortable, you need to be able to move in it. This year we set out on a quest to find the perfect jeans. No matter how big you are, how little you are, whether you have hips, whether you have no hips we tried on hundreds of pairs of jeans. You know one jean's designer said, you need to go into a cubicle in a jean store with a pile this big. You need 35 pairs of jeans, you try them all on, and you'll find one pair that works for your body. it's a great material because you can crawl around on the floor, you can wed it, you can just treat it in a very rugged way and it always looks good. Our TV portfolio is a big undertaking. Here we are taking the cast of probably 10 different TV shows and dress the characters from the show and fashions they're gonna suit their personality within the show.
