New Photos from This Week's 'Game of Thrones' Tease a Major Showdown

Don't mess with the Mountain.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Season 6 of Game of Thrones.

This season of Game of Thrones is barreling towards its end, and that means fans should get prepared for lots of epic moments. And new photos from Sunday's episode show that things are about to get crazy.

The episode, which is the eighth of season six, is called "No One," and with a title like that, it appears the show will resolve what happened to Arya at the end of the gory last episode. But HBO has just released new photos from the episode, and it's clear that a whole lot more will be happening than just that. Check out the images and try to put the pieces together yourself before Sunday.

As we've seen in a preview clip, Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) arrives in Riverrun to ask the Blackfish to help Sansa and Jon take on the Boltons.

At Riverrun, she encounters old pal Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), and they're seeking opposite outcomes. Jaime wants to overtake the Blackfish, while Brienne wants his help, and this might lead to a major battle between the two.

Meanwhile, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) is taking on the High Sparrow with the help of the reanimated Mountain (Hapfor Julius Bjornsson).

But first, they have to take down her cousin, Lancel (Eugene Simon), who fights for the Faith Militant.

And after a far-too-long pause, we thankfully catch up with Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Varys (Conleth Hill) in Meereen. In the episode description, HBO teases that Tyrion's "plans bear fruit," and that either means that the Sons of the Harpy go away, or things go terribly wrong. Since this is Game of Thrones, expect the latter.
