Sun Protective Clothing Gets an Artistic Upgrade

When Cover Clothing (a Dallas-based label of stylish sun protective clothing) co-founder and self-professed art lover Lisa Moore met American artist Richard Phillips at a Texas screening of Dallas Buyers Club last year, a light-bulb went off in her head.

"I introduced myself, told him about the brand, and suggested that we collaborate," says Moore. From there, the duo met at Phillips' New York studio to talk through ideas. The end result? A surf shell ($160) printed with one of Phillips' iconic images, available now at Neiman Marcus and on

Proceeds from the sales of the SPF-included piece will benefit Waves for Water, a full fledged hurricane relief initiative whose mission is to get clean water to every person who needs it. That said, we'll take two.
