Friends! Let’s keep it 100: Have you recently spent an inordinate amount of time thinking about your weekend outfits? I don’t know if that’s just a “me” thing, but the more I’m outside these days, the more I’m contemplating how to stay cute and cool (as in, not physically overheating). Especially on Saturdays and Sundays, when I can push the boundaries in terms of my style and really ratchet things up—or down!—if I’d like. If you’re in the same camp as me, here are four weekend-specific outfit formulas I find myself coming back to year after year.
FROM A WORKOUT TO RUNNING ERRANDS:
Here’s how I go from the gym to grocery shopping to the dry cleaner’s. A T-shirt can serve as an extra layer if you’re anywhere the AC is really blasting—in style.
FOR BRUNCH:
Take the guesswork out of outfit planning with easy-to-accessorize dresses and fun add-ons, like a sculptural necklace or sardine-shaped earrings.
FOR DINNER WITH FRIENDS:
Longtime readers know I’m a big going-out top kind of gal, but smocked dresses are another of my favorites. Comfortable shoes that work for an impromptu nightcap are also a must.
AN ALL-DAY TYPE OF OUTFIT:
There’s nothing worse than feeling like your outfit has expired, you know what I mean? Combat that feeling with pieces that can take you from early morning to late evening with ease.
