These Tailored Knit Pants Are a Chic Alternative to Jeans

Here's how I style them.

When I want the ease of jeans but need something more refined, I opt for tailored knit bottoms. My go-to pair? High Sport’s Kick Pants. They’re one of those rare pieces that adapt to how you style them, which makes them incredibly useful in a real wardrobe.

These pants already read polished, so pairing them with something soft or familiar keeps the look balanced. One of my favorite ways to wear the Kick Pant is with a lightweight sweater layered over a slim turtleneck. It’s relaxed, comfortable, and still feels intentional. Here, I added heels to sharpen the outfit.

This vibrant red style also fits perfectly into my corporate wardrobe. A tailored blazer instantly shifts these pants into nine-to-five territory, while a striped rugby polo keeps the outfit grounded and modern. Complete this look with sneakers and a structured bag, and you’ve got yourself a work outfit that feels professional, but not stiff.

For those moments when I’m going for a more sporty look, I lean into contrast. A Miu Miu track jacket or a fitted athletic layer changes the tone completely. Similar to a pair of chic jeans, these bottoms can anchor a relaxed outfit without making the look feel sloppy or unpolished. As for finishing touches, I elevated the ensemble with loafers and a green designer handbag.

Overall, the key to styling these pants is to think of them as denim. Coordinate these bottoms with sweaters, jackets, and sporty layers, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how easily your look comes together.
