Girls Star Allison Williams Engaged!

Girls star Allison Williams has got engaged to College Humor co-founder Ricky Van Veen.

A spokesperson for the actress has confirmed that she recently accepted a marriage proposal from Van Veen after three years of dating.

The couple originally met through a group of mutual friends.

Williams previously joked about the awkwardness that can result from the graphic sex scenes in her HBO series <Girls. "It's so funny, because I assume at some point I'll be in a movie where there's a very breathy, airy sex scene, and it's supposed to be beautiful and erotic, and it will be a shock to me," she explained.

The actress - who is the daughter of NBC News anchor Brian Williams - continued: "It will feel so weird, because I'm so used to shooting sex scenes and being like, 'I don't even wanna know what this looks like.' I don't want to know what the camera angle is because I know it's going to be weird, and it's not going to make me feel good, and it's not supposed to. There's a lot of integrity in that."

Girls was recently renewed for a fourth season to air next year.
