Bride Saves Groom From Nearly Falling Off Cliff During Vows

Faith and Peter Bolton live their lives on the edge – and that includes their relationship, too. The couple, who originally got married in 2009, decided to renew their vows this summer atop Atalaya Mountain in New Mexico.

The resulting video is picturesque – but terrifying. As Peter professes his love for Faith on the edge of a cliff, he leans back and stretches his arms out, raising his voice to call out "Yawp," which is a reference to the Walt Whitman poem "Leaves of Grass." But he loses his center of gravity, wobbling backwards. Luckily his bride is there to save him from falling from the 9,121-foot height.

Peter told The Express the near-death event was a sign from above about their relationship. "Sometimes people are meant to be together," he said.
