Victoria's Secret Party

Love, lace, and lingerie were on the minds of most guests that crowded into the Bowery Hotel Thursday night to celebrate Victoria's Secret's "What Is Sexy" 2009 list. And with Valentine's Day a mere 48 hours away, passions of the heart prevailed for more than a few of the celebrities that walked the pink carpet. "What's better than being with a hot girl on Valentine's Day?" offered Robert Buckley, the Lipstick Jungle heartthrob.

Hosted by Victoria's Secret Angels Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes (the former clad in a winter-white Pucci minidress), the duo wasjoined by fellow model stunners Alexandra Richards, Isabeli Fontana (in Jonathan Saunders), Behati Prinsloo, and Magdalena Frackowiak (in Dolce & Gabbana). While Lima relegated her Valentine's Day plans as more an afterthought, focusing on her present duties as she held court in the middle of the room, Fontana had a slightly more elaborate wish—egged on, no doubt, by the night's unseasonably warm climate, not to mention the special "Heartbreaker" cocktail being served (see recipe below).

"Since our version of Valentine's Day is different in Brazil, I didn't plan anything specific yet," she admitted. "But I wish I could go to Fernando de Noronha, this island on the northern coast of Brazil, with my boyfriend. It has always been my dream to go." And what exactly would she do on this island? Surely not adopt a Survivor-like lifestyle. "I'd keep things simple," she said. "Just build a fire on the island and have sake!"

The Heartbreaker

1.5 oz chilled Ciroc Vodka
2 oz chilled Nuvo
Cranberry juice

Directions: add Ciroc to shaker and then strain into a martini glass. Top with 1 oz Nuvo and a splash of cranberry juice. Garnish with Valentine's Day candy.
