I started my career working at a PR Agency in New York. Probably, midway through my time there, I realized that I wanted to be doing something that was a little more meaningful, more philanthropic, and decided to change careers. To work for a company where you're surrounded by like-minded people that, you know, are socially responsible and it's important to them to do well, like, doing good, and that's kind of something that I tell myself everyday. Well, I've been involved with a number of non-profit organizations. I've worked with UNICEF, I've been doing for about 3 years. Things that seem so simple here we take for granted are, you know, affecting so many children around the world. Like, they don't have the right vaccinations, they don't have access to clean water. It's challenging to us people to support a cause that's, you know, miles and miles and miles away and they don't really know anything about. When I come back and they say, 'Oh, you know, I actually went to the hospital that you helped me fundraise and saw first hand and saw the people that are benefitting from it. It totally changes the story, and their diligent support of the organization. So, one important piece of advice that someone gave me that always sticks with me is, I should never settle. Anything I do, like, you should always be doing something that you wanna be doing 100% that you're passionate about and that's gonna make you happy. If readers of the magazine want to get involved with UNICEF, get involved by following us on Twitter, and reading more on the website and learning about the work that we're doing around the world.
