An Up-Close Look at Zendaya’s Best Accessory Moments
From brilliant multi-carat jewels to subtle details that highlight a theme, the actress never overlooks the power of a finishing touch.
She's a fashion tour de force, an Emmy winner, a Disney Channel darling turned capital-M Movie Star—and Zendaya just getting started. In honor of The Challengers—the first feature film where the actress is billed in the leading role—Marie Claire is dedicating a week of content to all things Zendaya.
There's not a star doing fashion today the way Zendaya does. One moment, the actress is dressed in an archival style that hasn't seen the light of day in decades; the next, she's pulling off carefully curated theme-dressing. Her Mugler 1995 cyborg suit for the Dune: Part Two world premiere in London mastered both at once.
With the help of Law Roach, her long-time stylist and image architect, Zendaya's playful style is arguably the most exciting in Hollywood, with an uncanny ability to embody both Old Hollywood glamour and the latest runway trends.
While we can never be sure what the dynamic duo has up its sleeves, we do know that every outfit's detail is meticulously planned, and for each red-carpet persona, Zendaya never leaves even the smallest of details as an afterthought. From classic vintage brooches to quirky custom pieces, like Loewe's tennis ball-studded stilettos, a finishing touch always drives a look home.
Over the past decade, there have been just as many memorable accessory moments as there have been outfits—and here, Marie Claire is paying homage to them all.
A Tennis White Hair Bow at the UK premiere of "Challengers" (April 10, 2024)
On her fourth city stop during the Challengers global press tour, Zendaya took tennis dressing literally with a sequined tennis racket Thom Browne dress. To tie it all together (quite literally), she donned an oversized white satin bow in her hair that matched the smaller coquette bow fixed at her waist.
Tennis Ball Heels at the Rome Photocall for "Challengers" (April 8, 2024)
For the Challengers photocall in Rome, Zendaya and Roach took tennis dressing to the next level. The star wore custom-designed Loewe logo tennis ball heels alongside her bedazzled tennis dress from the Spanish house. Talk about a serve.

Pink Diamond Earrings at the 2024 Oscars (March 10, 2024)
The stars always bring their most glamorous looks to the biggest night in Hollywood, and Zendaya's 2024 Oscars red carpet look did not disappoint (but does it ever?). To complement her pink-and-black palm tree studded Armani Privé gown, she opted for stunning diamond and gemstone drop earrings by Bulgari, which added an extra dose of elegance to her look.
A Sculptural Choker and Cuffs at the 2024 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards (March 7, 2024)
Taking a break from her usual red carpet glitz and glam, Zendaya and Roach went for sculptural at the 2024 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards. The thick silver choker and coordinating cuff bracelets designed by Bulgari added even more coolness to her archival Jean Paul Gaultier lace corset top and wide-leg jeans.
Serpenti Rings at the New York Premiere of "Dune: Part Two" (February 25, 2024)
Marie Claire could not get enough of Zendaya's Dune: Part Two press tour looks. Her look for the New York premiere specifically lives rent-free in my mind, thanks to glittering Bulgari Serpenti rings on nearly every finger to complement her Stéphane Rolland Couture dress. Her matching gold manicure was a nice touch.
A Diamond and Sapphire Collar Necklace at the World Premiere of "Dune: Part Two" (February 15, 2024)
It's not a stretch to say Zendaya's 1995 Mugler cyborg suit at the London premiere of Dune: Part Two broke the internet. While the archival masterpiece deserves all the hype, it would be a shame to overlook her dramatic diamond sapphire Bulgari necklace that infused even extra drama into the futuristic look.
An Early-Aughts Louis Vuitton Bag During Spring 2024 Paris Fashion Week (October 2, 2023)
In April 2023, Zendaya joined the Louis Vuitton team as a house ambassador and has since graced us with plenty of jaw-dropping archival looks. Before attending the brand's Spring 2024 show in a double-zipper dress, she stepped out in Paris with a multi-colored logo-printed LV bag that offered up pure nostalgia. Fun fact: The bag was first worn by none other than Naomi Campbell for Louis Vuitton's Spring 2004 campaign.
Multiple Diamond Pieces at the Bulgari Hotel Roma Opening Event in Rome (June 8, 2023)
You can almost always expect Zendaya to be rocking impressive jewelry alongside a look. For the Bulgari Hotel Roma opening event in 2023, the star was dripped out in five diamond pieces from the jeweler, including a Serpenti watch, three rings, and dazzling drop earrings.
Matching Animal Print Boots During Fall 2023 Paris Fashion Week (March 06, 2023)
Zendaya gave matching sets a whole new meaning while attending the Louis Vuitton show in Paris to see their Spring 2024 collection. She wore a tiger-striped cropped jacket and shorts for the occasion, but the knee-high boots in a matching print make this look a true fashion moment.
A Multi-Gemstone Necklace at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards (February 26, 2023)
Being the style star she is, Zendaya didn't wear just one look to the 2023 SAG Awards; she wore two. For her first red carpet outfit, she went full Hollywood glam in a pink satin rosette gown by Valentino and an eye-catching Bulgari necklace complete with cushion tanzanite, morganite, and aquamarine gems.
A Black Hair Bow and Diamond Choker at the 2022 Emmy's (September 12, 2022)
As she often does, Zendaya took the regal route for her 2022 Emmy's red carpet look. In lieu of a tiara, she opted for a matching black hair bow—one of her signature accessories— that tied back to her vintage Valentino ballgown, Bulgari choker, and classic diamond stud earrings.
A Leather Tie and Peacock Brooch at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party (March 27, 2022)
Let it be known that feminine glamour isn't the only aesthetic Zendaya can pull off. At the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscars Party, she sported a sleek black suit from Sportmax’s Fall 2022 collection alongside a smart leather tie and a peacock Bulgari brooch.
Stacked Diamond Bracelets at the 2022 Oscars (March 27, 2022)
Before changing into another iconic look for the Vanity Fair after-party, Zendaya graced the 2022 Oscars red carpet in a head-to-toe custom Valentino top and skirt set. The star stacked multiple Bulgari Serpenti Viper diamond bracelets up her arms to create a cool cuff-like effect and outdid herself with a Bulgari Serpenti High Jewelry necklace with over 13 carats worth of diamonds.
A Transformable Necklace at the 2021 Oscars (April 25, 2021)
Sure, Zendaya's bright yellow Valentino dress at the 2021 Oscars was stunning, but we'd argue the real attention-grabber was her Bulgari necklace—or should I say necklaces? One necklace features a 6-carat yellow diamond on a removable diamond brooch (also with an optional diamond tassel), while the other has baguette-cut diamonds in a wavy pattern. If you count her three statement rings, she reportedly wore a whopping 231.78 carats of diamonds that night.
An Emerald Snake Necklace at the 2021 Venice Film Festival (September 03, 2021)
Zendaya debuted the Bulgari Magnifica Serpenti Hypnotic Emerald necklace, paired with a leather Balmain dress, for one of her most notable jewelry looks at the 2021 Venice Film Festival. The masterpiece featured a staggering 93.83 carats of emerald and was undoubtedly the highlight of her look. Please take a peek at her matching emerald ring, too.
A Lacy Black Mask at the L.A. Premiere of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (December 13, 2021)
Zendaya dressed in theme, wearing a web-adorned Valentino couture gown to the L.A. premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home. On the red carpet, she accessorized with a lacy black masquerade mask—a subtle reference to the unmasking of Peter Parker's identity in the film.
Cinderella's Carriage Purse and Headband at the 2019 Met Gala (May 6, 2019)
While other celebs may take a theme with a grain of salt, we can always count on Zendaya to hit the nail on the head. Her Disney princess look was the definition of "camp." the Met Gala's 2019 theme, and was accessorized with a sparkling "carriage" purse, Cinderella's signature baby blue headband. She fully committed to the look with glass slippers.
A Velvet Newsboy Cap at The Daily Front Row's 7th Annual Fashion Media Awards (September 05, 2019)
For The Daily Front Row's 7th Annual Fashion Media Awards, Zendaya leaned into '70s fashion. In fact, she took the opportunity to rep the Tommy Hilfiger x Zendaya Fall 2019 collection in a velvet suit, polka-dot blouse, and statement-making oversized tie. The matching velvet cap drove the '70s aesthetic home.
A Matching Hair Bow Heading to the The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (June 25, 2019)
Zendaya clearly loves a hair accessory, and we love seeing it. For an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Zendaya perfectly matched her oversized hair ribbon to her bright orange Carolina Herrera mini dress, which featured its own bow at the waist.
A Wide-Brim Hat at the Vanity Fair and Lancôme Paris Toast Women in Hollywood Event (March 1, 2018)
The style star wore a near-exact look that walked Marc Jacobs' Fall 2018 collection—an oversized color-block blazer dress and a wide-brim top hat that's '80s maximalism at its best.
Rose Brooches on Good Morning America (June 20, 2017)
Before you saw rosette pins all over this year's New York Fashion Week street style, Zendaya had already been there and done that way back in 2017. For an easy style hack, Zendaya pinned rose brooches to her oversized blazer for her appearance on Good Morning America, amplifying her more casual daytime look.
