The Amazon Sale Has Me Prepping for Summer Skin With These Glowy Beauty Goodies
A ton of my OGs are majorly discounted.
It hardly seems possible given that New York City weather is taking its sweet time to finally warm up, but in just a few weeks, summer will be almost here, and that means copious hangs in the park, at the beach, and on patios around Brooklyn. As delightful as that sounds—and I am daydreaming my little heart out in anticipation—I also am fully aware that the needs of my skin, hair, and makeup will be completely different by that time. So, what else is a beauty-obsessed girl to do but pick up a few seasonal goodies at the Amazon Summer Beauty Event?
Running from now until May 10, the sale is featuring some of my favorite drugstore and luxury beauty brands, with savings up to 30 percent off. I’m talking about French pharmacy staples, viral K-beauty brands, and luxury fragrances that I keep collecting until my dresser collapses under the weight of all those bottles. In other words, the sale is good, and the savings (and fast shipping times) can’t be beat. Here’s everything I’m adding to my cart during the Amazon Summer Beauty Event to keep my glam on point for months to come.
Under $500
I always view a sale as a chance to save, so why not look towards the higher-ticket items you’ve been lusting after and finally pull the trigger? Hair and skincare tools are going to be your best bet at this level.
Lazy girls and blowout queens, you can both benefit from the endless styling possibilities of this hair tool. With six attachments and intelligent heat control, the summer will be filled with good hair days.
The only LED mask I use, this smart series combines red and blue light to target signs of premature aging and minimize acne breakouts in just ten minutes. There’s also infrared benefits to boost collagen production, and the vibration massage is super relaxing.
Under $200
Okay, so you want to splurge but your budget is still top of mind? There are plenty of stellar beauty products under $200 to pick up during the sale. Hi-tech wellness tools and fragrance are my go-to at this price point.
Okay, if you think a new electric toothbrush isn’t exciting, let me remind you that this is the one that Beyoncé uses to keep her smile looking like a superstar. Your oral care routine is just as important as your skincare routine—trust me.
For the ultimate fresh and springy fragrance, I always turn to this Margiela rose and pink pepper scent. Through a bit of perfume alchemy, it captures that scent of a garden just after a rainstorm. Think Bridgerton in fragrance form.
Under $100
This is for the savvy shoppers who want to take advantage of all the great savings while still picking up some in-demand brands. Your hair and skin thank you for your still-healthy budget.
The sister cream to one of my all-time favorite serums, this peptide-rich formula helps restore your skin’s snap-back quality and boost collagen production. More youthful, healthy skin from a jar? This product gets you there.
Soft skin is non-negotiable during the spring and summer, so a gentle exfoliating body cream is always on deck to smooth away rough patches. The cult-favorite Brazilian formula smells just as good as it functions, leaving you with silky, lightly scented skin from the neck down.
Under $50
The peak sale goodies, in my opinion, are in this sweet spot under $50. Some of my most treasured French pharmacy staples fall into this category, so run, don’t walk, to add them to your shopping cart.
The only moisturizer a French woman will use (or at least recommend when you visit Paris). Gentle but deeply moisturizing, this is a flawless formula for dry or sensitive skin, and is perfect for skin prep before a full beat.
The one that started my love of lightweight, skin-perfecting tints, this OG formula creates the most seamless finish without clogging your pores. This CC cream (or complexion correcting) is ideal once the weather cranks up a few degrees.
Under $25
K-beauty fans, this is where you’ll shine. It doesn’t take a ton of budget to scoop up some buzzy Korean brands—or some stalwart luxury ones, either.
I love the tech behind this hydrogel mask, which requires that you leave it in place for at least 3-4 hours (or overnight) to allow it to sink into the skin, tighten, and enhance overall hydration. It’s gone viral on TikTok for a reason, I promise.
If you’re new to the bond repair game, this is the only place to start. This OG formula only takes three minutes before you shampoo to strengthen fragile hair bonds and leave your strands stronger, smoother, and less prone to breakage.
