Prince William Was So Cute Giving an Award to One of Kate Middleton's Closest Friends

She also happens to be her former private secretary.

During his life-long campaign to be the best husband ever, Prince William carved out time in his schedule to bestow an award on Kate Middleton's former private secretary Rebecca Priestley—also known affectionately as Kate's Girl Friday due to their close bond.

She was given the Royal Victorian Order at Buckingham Palace for her service to the monarchy—and the entire exchange between her and William couldn't have been sweeter.

Priestley worked for the royal couple for five years (she worked for Prince Harry's charity before that), traveling around the world with them on royal tours, and helping to organizing their engagements. She can often be seen in the background of photos.

Rebecca and Kate are said to have a close friendship (hence the Kate's Girl Friday nickname), and she only retired shortly before marrying her husband Adam Priestley this past spring. FYI, they got married at St. James's Palace...pretty sweet job perks.

Kate hired a new Private Secretary named Catherine Quinn over the summer.
