Some of these ladies usually make our best dressed lists and some are just plain wacky...always. But either way each of these outfits made us go "hmmmmmmmm" this year. What about you?

Nicki Minaj
While Nicki Minaj is never boring, it's hard for us to wrap our brains around looks like this one. Seriously there is just way too much going on to even analyze how she and her stylist came up with this idea.

Kourtney Kardashian
The Kardashians aren't exactly known for subtlety but the combo of the suspender dress, giant houndstooth print tights, nude platforms and the pattern on the book cover is giving us fits. We just want to turn down the volume a little.

Michelle Williams
The lovely Michelle is often on our best dressed list, but this floral Valentino wasn't her finest red carpet moment. The shape and the shade didn't flatter her petite frame, but we do love that she's always taking fashion risks. And her hair and makeup are pretty much perfection!

Katy Perry
We get it: Katy was voicing Smurfette in the movie so she literally wore her on the front of her dress (and on her nails.) The singer is always playful with her outfits but we think she should have passed on this one.

There's something very Project Runway challenge gone wrong about Ke$ha's dress at the Billboard Awards. It perplexes us as much as substituting a "$" for an "s" in one's name.

Fergie Ferg's intricate Marchesa dress at the Met Ball (one of the biggest fashion nights of the year) sort of makes her look like a medieval bride, no? It's surely beautifully made but a wee bit over-the-top. And we'd definitely lose the headpiece.

Riri went with a tiered, furry meets sheer Jean Paul Gaultier number for the Grammys red carpet earlier this year. And it was pretty much universally panned. We don't disagree.

Julianne Moore
If anyone could pull off a poufy one-sleeve, hot pink Lanvin dress, it would probably be Julianne Moore. We just not so sure she quite got there at this year's Golden Globes.

Julianna Margulies
We love Julianna Margulies on The Good Wife. And we usually love her chic red carpet looks. But we can't get past the stiff bodice on this Armani Privé creation.

Blake Lively
Let's just say that embroidered fringe dresses aren't really our thing. Even if they're Marchesa. The Gossip Girl star obviously feels differently.
