You're in luck: The 2013 collection of handbags from eBay & CFDA’s You Can't Fake Fashion campaign hit the web for auction today, and they're brilliant. Ninety world-renowned designers — Prabal Gurung, Rachel Roy, Diane von Furstenberg, and Rodarte among them — have each created one-of-a-kind totes with the goal of raising awareness against counterfeits and supporting original design.
This afternoon, the uniquely embellished bags went up for auction on eBay with the starting bid of $100. The auctions will end on March 25, but there is a standard, chic canvas tote that you can pick up at the "Buy It Now" price of $50. All of the proceeds from the collection benefit the CFDA Foundation, so not only are you walking away with a rare designer handbag, you're also making a charitable contribution to the industry at large and helping to fight fashion piracy. Sounds like a win-win to us!
