We're all obsessssed with Kate Middleton's wedding dress, designed by Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton.

But after the months upon months of speculation over whether we'd all love it or hate it, what does Marie Claire fashion director, Nina Garcia, think of her choice in gown?

"I am so thrilled Kate made such a wise choice of designer," she tells us this morning after waking up early to watch the festivities. "It was appropriate yet relevant. A victory for British designers and inspiration for all aspiring talent."

At 11 a.m. London time outside of Westminster Abbey, Kate debuted the floor-length, ivory and white satin gazar gown with long lace sleeves and 3-yard train.

"The silhouette was feminine and flattering for Kate with all proportions considered," Garcia says. "She wore the dress well. The dress did not wear her. This is key."
