I've been obsessing over the prints at Oscar de la Renta's resort show since I saw the first one strut down the runway this week.
The Cubist/Picasso influence was obvious in the details and they added a playfulness to the already artful designs. And don't even get me started on the youthfulness of the paper hats!
The show took place in the designer's new space on 42nd Street, a move from his usual uptown location. And since the office isn't finished yet the giant floor was almost like a raw construction zone — a lovely contrast to the finished designs.
We loved seeing all the reds and greens. And of course there was no shortage of gowns. This was an Oscar show, after all.
